How it all started...
Rowland Heights Community Christian Church was first started in April 1988 by Elder Wu Yung and five families in Whittier and was first known as Whittier Chinese Christian Church. In 1995, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the church relocated to Rowland Heights and was then renamed as Rowland Heights Community Christian Church. The church had purchased a piece of land in Rowland Heights and construction for a new church building began in May 1996.
While the new church building was being built, the church rented and used facilities from the Baptist Church on the corner of Colima Road and Otterbein Ave. The first phase of the church building was completed towards the end of 1996 and the dedication service took place on 1/26/97. The church soon outgrew its facilities. The second phase of the church building construction commenced in 1999 and was completed in December 2001. We currently have two Chinese worship services and one English worship service on Sunday.
